Method:

  • Sauté the sunflowers seeds in a pan that has a tight-fitting lid.

  • Bring this to a boil.
  • Cover with a lid.
  • Simmer till all the water gets absorbed

2. Buckwheat with Sunflower Seeds:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup buckwheat
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Method:
Sauté the sunflowers seeds in a pan.

  • Add buckwheat.
  • Sauté till golden brown.
  • Mix sea salt and water.
  • Bring this to a boil.
  • Cover with a lid.
  • Simmer till the water gets absorbed.


3. Soba Soup:

This is prepared from buckwheat noodles.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 – 1/2 lb soba (buckwheat noodles)
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mugi miso
  • 1 piece Kombu
  • 1 small piece Wakame
  • 1 inch piece ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cups water

Method:

  1. Wash the Kombu and Wakame thoroughly.
  2. Put this in a pot with water.
  3. Add the ginger.
  4. Boil for 10 – 20 minutes.
  5. Strain
  6. Rinse the seaweed.
  7. Chop Wakame and put this back in the water.
  8. Sauté onion and add to the stock with the carrot.
  9. Boil for 6 minutes
  10. Add soba.
  11. Boil and add 1 cup cold water
  12. Repeat 3 times by adding three cups of water.
  13. Boil for 5 minutes.
  14. Remove from heat.
  15. Add miso.
  16. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  17. Serve in bowls.
  18. Sprinkle some “Fried Tofu” for garnish.

4. Buckwheat Khichdi:

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup buckwheat
  • 1 tbsp ginger-green chili paste
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sour curd
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup potatoes
  • Salt

Method:
  1. Clean and soak the buckwheat for 2 hours.
  2. Mix the curd with 1½ cups water.
  3. Keep this aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan
  5. Add cumin seeds.
  6. Add the potatoes and cook on medium flame.
  7. Add the powdered peanuts, ginger-green chili paste, and cook.
  8. Mix with the curd mixture, salt and buckwheat.
  9. Cook on low flame for 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. Garnish with some coriander and sesame seeds.
  11. Serve this hot with peanut kadhi.

2 tablespoons Multani mitti

3 tablespoon Rose water


Preparation

Take sandalwood powder, multani mitti and besan (gram flour) in small bowl mix these powders together and then add 3 tablespoon of rose water, and honey in it. Mix them together to make fine paste, add more rose water in necessary.
Apply this paste on the face or affected areas and leave it for 20-30 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm or normal water.

2. Multani Mitti and Oatmeal

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Multani mitti
1 tablespoon Oatmeal powder
1 teaspoon raw honey
Half teaspoon Turmeric powder
4 tablespoon Rose water

Preparation

Mix Multani mitti, oatmeal powder, turmeric power with rose water, and add raw honey to it. Mix all them properly to make fine & smooth paste of it. Apply this mixture on the face for 20-30 minutes and wash away with normal water. Repeat this 2-3 times a week for better result.


3. Multani Mitti and Lemon Juice

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Multani mitti
2 tablespoons raw milk
1 teaspoon rose water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice


Preparation

Mix multani mitti with raw milk and rose water, if needed add more milk to make fine paste. Then add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice in it, mix them properly. Do not leave any lump of multani mitti in the paste, paste should be fine. Mixture should be neither too sticky nor too soggy. Apply this fine mixture on your face for 20-30 minutes and rinse off with normal water.
